{SCA} How to Keep Soft Smooth Feet: Spring and summer are the months for wearing sandals, this mean that your feet are exposed and need to look fabulous. But now no matter what the season, soft and smooth feet are a trend that will never change.

Regular pedicures can help to keep your feet soft, smooth, and touchable. There are plenty of other tips to help you keep your feet looking and feeling great, and we’ve teamed up with Life Love Beauty readers to share some smooth feet tricks with you. Sandal season is in high gear, which means your feet need to look fabulous every day.

Here are Three Days Strategies to make your soles soft and smooth at home.

Day 1: Got milk. Soak your feet in a large bowl of warm whole milk. The lactic acid will slough off rough spots and make your skin feel extremely soft.

Day 2: Lock in moisture. Slather your feet with a rich foot cream, then slip on a pair of cotton socks. Wear the socks for at least 20 minutes (you can even sleep with them on) to lock mega moisture into your skin.

Day 3: Buff daily. Keep a pumice stone or foot file in your shower so that every day you can tackle rough spots and cracked heels. This daily maintenance will prevent your feet from stepping into the scary sole zone.

  • Don’t ignore pain. Painful feet are not normal. Wearing high heels may be sexy but they do a lot of harm to the feet because standing on heels forces your body weight to rest unnaturally on your arches and the balls of your feet. Overtime the constant pressure can cause toe deformities, nerve damage and even shorter foot muscles that limit your stride. So choose heels that are no higher than two inches and wear them for just a few hours daily, then let your feet recover by wearing flats and sneakers for the next several days.
  • Bacteria and fungi thrive in moist places. Keep your feet dry especially in between the toes. If your feet are itchy, that may be a sign of a fungal infection. Go to a dermatologist.
  • Trim toe nails with a nail trimmer. Cut them straight across and not too short. Do not cut down the corner as this can lead to in growing toenails.
  • Wear new shoes in slowly and remember that new shoes should not hurt your feet. Wake up to super-smooth feet. To soften your feet, apply a thick cream all over the feet and slip on socks before you go to bed.
