Arjun attended St. Patrick’s High school in Deolali. He comes from a Punjabi Sikh background. He completed his graduation i.e. B.A in Economics in Delhi. His father name is Amarjeet Rampal a Ramgarhia Sikh and his mother is Gwen rampal (Half-dutch and half jatt Dhillon). Both his paternal as well as maternal grandfathers were in Indian army. Arjun and his younger sister Komal Rampal later attended the prestigious Kodaikanal International School located in the Palani Hills, Tamil Nadu, where his mother was also teaching.
His debut movie – Moksha was released in 2001 and was directed by Ashok Mehta. However, this film was released after his second film, Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat, in which he appeared with Sunil Shetty and Aftab Shivdasani. Although both films did not perform well at the box office, his performances in both films were lauded by critics. In 2002, he won the Award from the International Indian Film Academy for Face of the Year.
Arjun Rampal married former Miss India and supermodel Mehr Jesia and they have two daughters, Mahikaa, born on 17 January 2002 and Myra, born June 2005.
