Her Fater’s name is Syed Mohammad Server Shah. Her Mother’s name is Syeda Shafqat Zahra Bukhari, she is a former educationist and has also been a teacher and her father was an architect. Meera is the eldest sister and have five younger siblings, Aqsa Rubab, who is a Lawyer, Murtaza, Ahsan, Syeda and Hussain.in his early age her parents move to Kashmir.
Meera went to Lahore’s Kinniard College and continued to act in school plays. She always wanted to be an actor since her school although she belonged to a very religious and orthodox family set up especially by her step father Syed Ali Abbas. Before starting her acting career, she worked as a model and gained fame after her first TV commercial in 1994.
During her career. She started her acting career in 1995 with Film Kanta. She have successful film career But she is the most controversial actress after her appearance in an Indian film .she worked on her first Bollywood project Nazar. She signed with two directors including Samina Peerzada who was making her debut as a director in Inteha (1999).
Inteha went on to become a bit hit and Meera was named the Best Actress of the year for her breakout performance. Since Inteha, Meera has worked in 14 projects, while at the same time, continuing with her modelling career. Meera has often been cited by the media for the most beautiful actress of Lollywood and won the Lux Style award for the most beautiful face of the year in 2007.
She plan to establish a social welfare organization that will provide shelter to homeless and needy women. The project will be named after her mother Shafqat Zara.
A complex spread over an area of 16 acres (65,000 m2) of land will be constructed in Sheikhupura comprising a school, hospital and home for the needy and homeless women. Her mother donated land for the project and she intend to completed the huge project herself.
