Pakistani Cricketer Shoaib Malik History

Shoaib Malik (born 1 February 1982 in Sialkot) is a Pakistani cricket player. He made his One-Day International debut in 1999 against the West Indies and his Test debut in 2001 against Bangladesh. Malik was ranked second, behind teammate Shahid Afridi, in the ICC ODI all-rounder rankings in June 2008.

In Test cricket he made a big impression with his match-saving innings against Sri Lanka, in which he batted for the whole day and finished with 148 runs not out. His bowling has been effective at times, especially in one-day cricket where his best bowling figures are four wickets for 19 runs (4/19) in addition to many 3-wicket hauls.

Sania Mirza, born November 15, 1986, is a Indian tennis player. She started her tennis career in 2003. In 2004 she was awarded the Arjuna award by the Indian Government. She is known for her powerful forehand ground strokes. Mirza was born to a sports journalist, Imran Mirza and her mother Nasima in Mumbai, India. She was brought up in Hyderabad in a religious Muslim family. Mirza began playing tennis at the age of six, turning professional in 2003. She was trained by her father, as well as her other family members. She went to Nasr school in Hyderabad and later graduated from St. Mary’s College.

Sania Mirza was engaged in July 2009 to Sohrab Mirza, a business man from Hyderabad whom she knew from her school days. On January 28, 2010, it was announced that the Mirza family had called off the engagement. The decision was reported to be mutual, with Mirza citing “incompatibility” as the reason for the split. Mirza’s father Imran Mirza claimed that the couple as well as their respective families continue to remain on good terms.

GEO News – Indian Tennis Star Sania Mirza to Marry Pakistani Cricketer Shoaib Malik

On March 29, 2010, Pakistani media GEO News  reported that Sania Mirza will wed Shoaib Malik, ex-captain of the Pakistan cricket team in April, 2010. This news was confirmed to the media by Imran Mirza, the father of Sania Mirza Later, Shoaib Malik also confirms on his Twitter page that they will get married in April 2010.
