  1. Lemon Water: Lemon is one of the most versatile fruits you can buy. If you don’t have mint, ginger, or other herbs at home, just squeeze half a lemon into a mug of warm water. You can also use lemon juice if you don’t have fresh lemon, but you’ll only need a few teaspoons.
  2. Chamomile Tea: You’ve probably got some chamomile tea bags in the cupboard, so make yourself a cup. It’s good for relaxation, so will help calm your insides. It’s also an anti-inflammatory, so good for upset tummies. You’re more likely to have the tea bags, but if you have dried chamomile you can make a tea with one or two teaspoons.
  3. Brat contains low-fiber, high-binding foods. None of these foods contain salt or spices, which can further aggravate symptoms. This bland diet is a go-to for when you’re feeling sick but still have to eat something. Try overcooking the toast for a little extra help the charred bread is thought to reduce nausea.
  4. Rice Tea Alleviates: To settle an upset stomach or stop diarrhea, make a rice “tea.” Boil 1/2 cup of rice in six cups of water for about 15 minutes. Strain out the rice, then flavor the water with a dash of honey or sugar and drink warm.
  5. Ginger: Ginger is a popular and highly effective ingredient to treat upset stomach. Add one-half teaspoon of dry ginger powder to one cup of buttermilk, mix it well and drink this solution three or four times a day for two days. You can also add a pinch of asafetida also known as hing in this solution. Simmer a few slices of fresh ginger in two cups of boiling water for 10 minutes. Let it cool and then drink the tea several times a day.
  6. Cook gasses beans. If you throw out the water in which you’ve soaked the beans overnight, then cook them in fresh water, you’ll significantly decrease their gas-causing potential. Rinsing canned beans also helps reduce gas.
  7. Water is a necessity and the amount of water we need to drink each day depends on our size and our physical activity. Drinking enough water each day helps waste pass through the digestive system.
