1. Friends For Life

We are Friends
I got your back
You got mine,
I’ll help you out
Anytime!
To see you hurt
To see you cry
Makes me weep
And wanna die
And if you agree
To never fight
It wouldn’t matter
Who’s wrong or right
If a broken heart
Needs a mend
I’ll be right there
Till the end
If your cheeks are wet
From drops of tears
Don’t worry
Let go of your fears
Hand in hand
Love is sent,
We’ll be friends
Till the end!

2. Forever Friends

Words could never tell you
How important you’ll always be,
Just little things that you do
That are especially meant for me.
You always seem to remember
All the things to do.
That makes friends last forever,
And share a bond so true.
I’m so glad God gave to me
Someone just like you.
He knew that you would be
One of the chosen few!

3. My Best Friend

I can’t give solutions to all of life’s problems, doubts,
or fears. But I can listen to you, and together we will
search for answers.

I can’t change your past with all it’s heartache and pain,
nor the future with its untold stories.
But I can be there now when you need me to care.

I can’t keep your feet from stumbling.
I can only offer my hand that you may grasp it and not fall.

Your joys, triumphs, successes, and happiness are not mine;
Yet I can share in your laughter.

Your decisions in life are not mine to make, nor to judge;
I can only support you, encourage you,
and help you when you ask.

I can’t prevent you from falling away from friendship,
from your values, from me.
I can only pray for you, talk to you and wait for you.

I can’t give you boundaries which I have determined for you,
But I can give you the room to change, room to grow,
room to be yourself.

I can’t keep your heart from breaking and hurting,
But I can cry with you and help you pick up the pieces
and put them back in place.

I can’t tell you who you are.
I can only love you and be your friend.

4. Friendship

Do you think we will be this close… In 20…30… Or 40 years from now?
What could happen in that time… a death, a birth, a marriage, a divorce, or all of the above?
We will never know the future.
Yet sometimes it would be nice to sneak a peak, at numerous simple things.
The choices we make today will alter (for better or worse) our future.
Will we succeed or will we fail?
Will we give into temptation or show our strength?
Only God knows what lies written on our hearts.
Will we be little old ladies gossiping together at a coffee shop 60 years from now or will we even recognize one or another?
Maybe, throughout our future years, we will become closer almost sisters
Although, we may lose touch every now and then,
After all life does happen,
We will still have many memories, and can start again like we never missed a day.
Nor can it be promised that we will raise our kids together,
But they will know about our friendship, and those unforgettable times.
Do you think we will be as close as we are today, many years from now….
No, even closer.
