Healthy Egg Cutlets Recipe

  • 5 Hard boiled eggs
  • 2 Potato es(medium)
  • 1 big Onion, finely chopped
  • 7 Green chillies
  • 2 tsp Garlic paste
  • Ginger, a small piece
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • Salt as required
  • Few curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 Egg(beaten)
  • 1 cup Bread crumbs
  • Oil for frying


  • Cook potatoes well and drain the water.
  • Cut the eggs into halves and remove the egg yolks.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Saute onion, green chillies, garlic, ginger and curry leaves, till brown.
  • Mash the potatoes and add to the pan along with turmeric, chilli powder, lemon juice, garam masala, corinader leaves, salt and pepper.
  • Saute for 2 minutes and remove from heat.
  • Add the boiled egg yolks to the pan and mix well.
  • Take an half of boiled egg white and fill it with the potato, egg yolk mix and press well.
  • Dip the cutlet in the beaten egg and roll it on the bread crumbs.
  • Deep fry in oil.
  • Serve hot with tomato sauce.
